Visa requirements

Visitors arriving at Sharm who are visiting only the coast resorts of Sharm, Dahab, Nuweiba and Taba, or inland as far as St Catherine, may remain for up to 14 days without a visa.

All other visitors require a visa which can be obtained from the Egyptian embassy OR on arrival at the airport. In the latter case, you should go to one of the bank kiosks at arrival and purchase your visa before proceeding through passport controls.

Money

You are not advised to change sterling or euros to Egyptian pounds until you arrive in Egypt where Forex bureaus provide a much better rate than the banks.

ATM machines can be found easily in Sharm, Dahab, St Catherine, Cairo and Alexandria.

Both Yallajabaleya and Zarzora provide comprehensive packages and money is only required for minor and personal expenses.
